We do the little things that matter most. Our photos are just a day in the life of our fur family. If you are wanting costumes, jewelry or tiaras, you won't find it here. Our pictures are as real as we are and never posed.
When you place a deposit with us, you will get lots of pup-dates and pictures of your wee one. We feel it's important for you to know how your puppy is doing while we are caring for the little sugar booger. We have fun puppy playrooms with LOTS of toys. The toys are often changed to stimulate the littles. We also have a large puppy play yard to explore, weather permitting. Puppies are introduced to crate conditioning. We also begin the puppy on litter box training. We use 100% natural, eco-friendly, pine pellets.
Your puppy comes with a comforting stuffed toy that smells like its family. This helps with the transition from our home to yours. That special toy is selected from Rescued Treasures (RT), a second hand store operated by volunteers. The proceeds from RT go to support our local animal shelter. We also buy our teething toys, blankets and anything else we can think of from RT. We love supporting dogs & cats who are looking for a happy ending to their story.
Please know, we do not sell you a puppy and walk away. We are here for you, for the life of your puppy. Not 6 days or 6 months.., FOR LIFE! Whatever questions or support you need, we are here! We feel the little things are really the big things.
Not all breeders are created equal.
Our puppy's cheerful temperament is NOT by accident, It's intentional. We practice Early Neurological Stimulation, (see below) and pride ourselves on NEVER having a puppy returned for temperament issues! Their Mamas & Papas are NOT caged in a kennel all day, they are raised right beside us, in our lodge-home. This helps with their mental well-being as well as that of their offspring. We have constant interactions with the puppies and reward positive behavior.

Health
The health of your puppy is so important to us. We believe it starts with the health of the puppy's parents. We have a great relationship with the staff at West Central Veterinary Services. They complete all the annual wellness check-ups and OFA certification x-rays for our precious parents. We also have Cardiac evaluations, Eye Certifications, DNA Disease panel & Genetic Profiles for our Miniature Schnauzer & Yorkshire Terrier adults. All Mini Schnauzer & Yorkie puppies have a complete wellness check-up at West Central, age appropriate vaccinations & deworming. Their tails are docked, their ears are all natural & nails trimmed often.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
We practice Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) also known as the Biosensor Routine. It is a small series of safe exercises performed on puppies between 3 to 16 days old. The fundamental nature of the exercises is said to give the puppies a stronger immune & nervous systems, stronger heart & breathing rates, consistent temperament & longer life spans as well as help coping with stressful situations as they get older.
Nutrition
Good nutrition is important to the health & well-being of our Yorkshire Terriers & AKC Miniature Schnauzers. Our crew is fed a fresh delectable balanced diet. A typical meal is farm raised lamb, garden fresh spinach, carrots & barley. They also get Scooby Snacks and dental treats to promote good oral hygiene.
Where are we?
The tiny tushy lodge is nestled in a valley on a 25 acre farm, along the banks of Big Walnut Creek just outside of Greencastle, Indiana. We have ponds, pastures, woods & waterfalls. We feel it's an amazing place to raise our dog family and the best start for our puppies to succeed with their new family or therapy dog partner.
